Meldrum House Country Hotel and Golf Course is a 4-star luxury hotel, set in 240-acres on the outskirts of the town of Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire.

The award-winning hotel has recently picked up major accolades including a Scottish Thistle from Visit Scotland for ‘Most Hospitable Hotel’ and two weeks later, its 800-year old Cave Bar was awarded ‘Global Hotel Bar of the Year’ by Whisky Magazine.

The hotel has gained a reputation, for consistently giving staff training opportunities.  In the last five years alone, over 50 staff have been on an SVQ or Apprenticeship scheme.  It helps to keep the high levels of service that the hotel is renowned for, as well as retaining staff; making turnover levels low.

The Meldrum House team is an advocate of encouraging more people into the hospitality sector. We work hard with local schools, DYW and universities to promote the benefits of working in the hotel industry.

This scheme is a great opportunity to learn about every aspect of working within a hotel.  The chosen applicants will work in various departments throughout their time at Meldrum House.   Once their apprenticeship is complete, we encourage them to stay with us and move into further qualifications and inhouse training and development.
