As part of the Hospitality Apprenticeship programme, apprentices take part in a series of immersive learning journeys and hands-on masterclasses that bring their training to life beyond the workplace. These experiences offer a unique chance to see the wider world of hospitality in action—from the early morning hustle of Peterhead fish market to the behind-the-scenes operations at Fishers laundry.
Previous journeys have taken apprentices to inspiring places such as Ardgay, Williamsons Store House, and Redshank, giving them a true taste of Scotland’s vibrant food and drink scene and the suppliers who help keep our industry thriving. Other journeys have included wine tastings and foraging for ingredients.
Every visit is packed with insight, practical learning, and a real sense of the pride and passion that goes into hospitality at every stage of the journey.
