Our next intake of apprentices will begin in June 2026. If you are interested in joining the programme, you are welcome to submit your application in advance of this date. Successful applicants may have the opportunity to start employment with one of our partner hotels prior to the programme commencing, allowing you to gain valuable on-the-job experience before formally beginning the apprenticeship in June.

Who can join the apprenticeship scheme?
Applications are welcomed from individuals already working within the hospitality sector as well as those who are completely new to the industry and looking to begin their career. The programme is also open to school leavers who are interested in developing their skills and gaining practical experience within a professional hospitality environment. Where possible, applicants may be encouraged to undertake a short work trial with their chosen employer prior to formally commencing the apprenticeship, allowing both the employer and the apprentice to ensure the role is the right fit.
No formal qualifications are required in order to apply for the programme, making it accessible to a wide range of candidates who are motivated to build a career in hospitality. However, apprentices must be under the age of 25 at the official start date of the apprenticeship.
Throughout the programme, each participating hotel provides a dedicated workplace assessor who supports apprentices in their day-to-day development within the property. In addition to this hands-on learning, the formal academic training and qualification delivery are provided by City of Glasgow College, ensuring apprentices receive both practical experience and structured education as part of their apprenticeship journey.
