Address: Mar Rd
Braemar
Aberdeenshire
AB35 5YN

Number of rooms: 46

Located in the picturesque village of Braemar, in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, the Fife Arms is a 2 MICHELIN Keys awarded boutique 5-star hotel. Also named the No. 1 Hotel in Europe (Rest of UK) in the Condé Nast Traveller UK Readers’ Choice Awards 2024, we are so proud of the recognition our dedicated team continues to receive.
The Fife Arms is a creative venue where our apprentices get the time to build and hone their hospitality skills. As a team, we’ve also been named Aberdeen City & Shire Employer of the Year and recognised in the Staff Matter category at the Northern Star Business Awards, acknowledging our commitment to creating a supportive and rewarding workplace.
The hotel houses 46 beautifully appointed bedrooms – each one a homage to place, person or event with links to the area along with the stunning Albamhor Spa and some of the most unique event spaces. Dining experiences extend to the Clunie Dining Room showcasing the art of open wood-fire cooking, The Flying Stag Pub serving up local beers and firm Scottish favourites, Elsa’s Cocktail Bar and our more relaxed Drawing Room – all of which celebrate the best in local ingredients and are expertly prepared by our dedicated culinary team.
Our offering is conducive to creating an outstanding learning experience for any AHS apprentice.
The Fife Arms prides itself on its family feel, and its close-knit team is continually supported in their professional and personal development. Apprentices can expect to be part of this family from the start, learning and developing across all hotel departments. The Fife Arms provides apprentices over the age of 18 years old with accommodation, meals on duty, and team activities to enjoy the magnificent location.
“We are getting back to what hospitality really is. It’s about being a host and creating a home for our guests to enjoy. The apprenticeship covers all areas of the hotel, so apprentices can make informed decisions on their career paths,” says Kirsten Jenseon, Talent & Development Manager, Artfarm Scotland.
