The programme includes a suite of masterclass opportunities for apprentices throughout the course.

Apprentices have the opportunity to learn to be a barista with Caber Coffee in Aberdeen and visit Fishers Laundry Fishers Laundry in Cupar to see how a commercial laundry operates and shows how it is a vital element in the hospitality supply chain.

Other masterclass opportunities for Hospitality Apprentice North East include sommelier training at The Fife Arms and an (early) morning visit to Peterhead Fish Market.

One highlight of the 2019 programme was the chance for apprentices to meet and quiz Saturday Kitchen and Great British Menu celebrity chef Glynn Purnell.
