THE FIFE ARMS

Location: Braemar, Royal Deeside
Number of Rooms: 46

Combining a country hotel with a spa and an art space, all set within the Cairngorms National Park, The Fife Arms is a creative venue where our apprentices get the time to build and hone their hospitality skills. To be found in the small village of Braemar, and surrounded by stunning scenery, this is a hotel to relax in and enjoy everything nature has to offer.

With 46 bedrooms, a renowned restaurant and bar which is the heart of the village, plus a dining room and cocktail bar, the Fife Arms also has over 14,000 pieces of art and collectables, beautifully incorporated around the whole hotel. It also offers guests a range of activities and the chance to relax in the hotel’s own in-house spa. This all combines to create an outstanding learning experience for any HANE apprentice.

The Fife Arms prides itself on its family feel, and its close-knit team are continually supported in their professional and personal development. HANE apprentices can expect to be part of this family from the get-go and be given the opportunity to learn and develop across all the hotel’s departments. The Fife Arms also offers apprentices a support package, which includes access to accommodation, meals on duty and team activities that make the most of the magnificent location.

“We are going the full cycle and getting back to what hospitality really is. It’s about being a host; it’s about creating an ambience and atmosphere, creating a home for your guests to enjoy. Over the 18 to 24 months, the apprenticeship covers all areas of the hotel, so apprentices get to see everything hands-on to make an informed decision on where they really want to work. We can show that it’s not all about being a kitchen porter or a chef, there’s a lot more to it.”
